The State of North Carolina, Department of Crime Control and Public Safety, Division of Emergency Management purchased nine Companion Animal Mobile Equipment Trailer (CAMET) units to assist the County Animal Response Team (CART) during emergencies and disasters. The funds to purchase the CAMET trailer units were donated by the Humane Society, the American Kennel Club, Farm Bureau and private corporation(s). The nine CAMET trailer units are titled to the Division of Emergency Management (NCEM). NCEM will loan a CAMET trailer unit to the County of ________, North Carolina for use by the CART during disasters and emergencies.
