This Release and Settlement Agreement is made as of the _____ day of ______ 2022 (notwithstanding the actual date of execution) by and between the Colorado Department of Corrections (“CDOC”), Dean Williams in his official capacity as the Executive Director of CDOC, and the Office of Risk Management for the State of Colorado (collectively, the “State”) and Brian Mackes, Adrian Chávez, and the National Federation of the Blind of Colorado (collectively, “Plaintiffs;” Messrs. Mackes and Chávez will be referred to as the “Individual Plaintiffs”).
