to take this opportunity to familiarize our ratepayers with the County’s roadside weed and brush control program. Our spray program consists of spot-spraying noxious and prohibited noxious weeds and brush from roadsides with registered herbicides. We do not spray in the direct vicinity of a house unless requested to do so. Herbicide application generally commences in early May (weather permitting). All County roads are subject to herbicide application in accordance with the Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act. The County of Grande Prairie offers a No Spray Program for those ratepayers who do not wish the ditch adjacent to their property to be sprayed. With this agreement come responsibilities on the applicant’s part. We understand this is a program valued by many and wish to continue to offer this privilege to our ratepayers who may desire it.
