DISCUSSION: In 2011 the School Board approved the reestablishment of the Florida Virtual School franchise, Brevard Virtual Secondary School (BVSS). BVSS fulfills the state mandate for a full-time district Virtual Instruction Program (s. 1002.45) and will be the primary provider of instruction to meet the graduation requirement for an online course. BVSS utilizes the FLVS curriculum with instruction provided by Brevard teachers. This contract will renew this relationship for the 2012-2013 school year. This school operates under school number 7004 and will provide an estimated 1840 half-credit enrollments next year. The franchise will generate FTE pursuant to s. 1002.37(4), F.S. CONTRACT TERM: The term of this agreement shall be from July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013.
