The County of Santa Cruz Department of Public Works has completed the plans and specifications for the replacement of two Kings Creek Road Bridges, bridge number 36C-064 located at post mile (PM) 0.06 and bridge number 36C-066 located at PM Both of the existing bridges need to be replaced to meet current design standards and will be through the Federal Highway Administration’s Highway Bridge Rehabilitation and Reconstruction (HBRR) program. It is our intent to combine these two bridge projects into one construction project for bidding and construction purposes. We believe that this process will save $150,000 in construction administration and inspection services costs. It is anticipated that the project will be. bid for construction as soon as December 2003.
