FiledJune 8th, 2021The European Commission, in its Communication “A renewed EU strategy 2011-14 for Corporate Social Responsibility” of 25 October 2011, proposed to redefine CSR as “the responsibility of enterprises for their impacts on society”1. Such responsibility implies the respect for applicable legislation, and for collective agreements between social partners as a prerequisite. In addition, according to the Commission, “to fully meet their corporate social responsibility, enterprises should have in place a process to integrate social, environmental, ethical, human rights and consumer concerns into their business operations and core strategy in close collaboration with their stakeholders” - employees, consumers, customers, shareholders, suppliers, public authorities and, more generally, the community where the enterprise is located.
