There has been a longstanding agreement of cooperation between ASTM International and the American Concrete Institute (ACI) in the preparation of standards. This agreement states that, in general, standards concerned with matters of engineering design or construction shall be the responsibility of ACI. ASTM International has responsibility for the development of test methods for concrete and concrete products and for the constituent materials of concrete, as well as certain related materials such as those used in curing.
