Parent Responsibilities Send my child to school every day on time and make sure he/she completes his/her homework every day. Keep in contact with the school and/or my child’s teacher at least once a month. Provide updated contact information (phone number and email address) whenever necessary. Attend parent-teacher conferences, PTA meetings and workshops whenever possible in order to help my child learn. Ask my child every day for home/school communication. Support the school’s dress code and discipline system. Limit my child’s TV and video game time and make sure my child is well rested. Provide study space, study materials and learning opportunities for my child, in the home or through the library, church or community. Volunteer in my child’s class or school when possible Teacher Responsibilities Provide a safe, welcoming environment for students and families. Maintain high expectations for every student and provide the support each student needs in order to meet those expectations.
