THE NATIONAL AERONAUTICS AND SPACE ADMINISTRATION GEORGE C. MARSHALL SPACE FLIGHT CENTER AND BLUE ORIGIN, LLC UNDER SPACE ACT UMBRELLA AGREEMENT NO. SAA8-1725986, DATED 8/30/2017 (ANNEX NUMBER 27).October 2nd, 2020
FiledOctober 2nd, 2020This Annex shall be for the purpose of evaluating the susceptibility for embrittlement of selected alloys exposed to varying gaseous hydrogen environments. This testing will be performed at Marshall Space Flight Center's Hydrogen Test Facility. Mechanical properties of the materials will be measured from specimens tested at temperatures ranging from room temperature up to 400 °F, and at pressures up to 5000 psi. This body of work will target 100 tension test specimens and 60 fracture toughness specimens. No more than 25% of the specimens in each category will be tested at elevated temperature.
