The International Seabed Authority (hereinafter referred to as “the Authority”), represented by its Secretary-General, and Deep Ocean Resources Development Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “the Contractor”), represented by its President, agree that the Contract for Exploration for Polymetallic Nodules between the Authority and the Contractor signed on 20 June 2001 in Kingston, Jamaica, for a period of 15 years from 20 June 2001, together with related annexes, is extended for a period of five years to 19 June 2021, subject to the following amendments.
