Education has a key role to play in transforming society. It is an important mechanism for the social, emotional, and psychological development of young people. Students learn best in schools that provide safety and social support. Nigeria aims to ensure that all schools are health-promoting in line with WHO and UNESCO guidance. This will take into consideration the three focal areas of curriculum, “teaching and learning,” “school organization, policy and relationships”; and “partnerships with parents, community, and agencies.”
