The AOC exists, in part, to assist judges, administrators, clerks of court, and other officers and employees of the court in matters relating to court administration, and to provide such services as are requested. O.C.G.A. §15-5-24(1). The AOC serves as staff to the Judicial Council of Georgia and serves as the administrative arm of the Judicial Council. O.C.G.A. §15-5-22. The AOC may perform such additional duties as may be assigned by the Judicial Council of Georgia.
