WHEREAS both parties are desirous of preventing strikes and lock-outs and maintaining a uniform wage schedule, working conditions and hours of work of employees of the Company, and of facilitating adjustment of all grievances which may arise from time to time between the Company and its employees; and of promoting and improving peaceful industrial and economic relations between the parties.
