Contract Type FiledApril 20th, 2010The Board of Education of Carroll County, a body corporate and politic of the State of Maryland (the “Board”) owns certain real property that is commonly known as 60 Monroe Street, Westminster, Maryland (the “Property”), which is improved, in part, with a Maintenance Facility. Pursuant to a Right of Entry and Indemnification Agreement dated June 1, 2003, the Board granted Ms. Rebecca Orenstein permission to enter onto a portion of the Property (the “Plot”) for purposes of installing and maintaining a garden. Pursuant to said Right of Entry and Indemnification Agreement, Ms. Orenstein planted a community garden, but Ms. Orenstein is no longer involved with the management of the garden. The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Westminster (the “City”) has requested that the Board continue to allow the continued use of the Plot as a garden, and the Board has agreed to allow the continued use of the Plot for such purpose subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement.
