As the Campbell County School District 1 embarks on a comprehensive plan to expand world language offerings, the need for additional qualified teachers with proficiency in the language of study becomes an increasing demand. As a result, the state and local counties are compelled to explore a variety of innovative approaches to ensure that students are receiving quality world language instruction. Several states have employed a visiting international teacher model to provide learners an opportunity to acquire language from a highly competent teacher who has native fluency in the language of study. Campbell County School District is currently wishing to support a visiting international teacher program with the full intent to continue the program through a cohort in the 2018-2019 academic year.
