This Area Oil and Gas Contract for Development and Production # _______ (this “Agreement”) is approved for the development of Permanent University Fund (“PUF”) lands and is effective on ____________1, 202[_] (the “Effective Date”), by and between the State of Texas, acting by and through University Lands or its authorized designees (collectively, “University Lands”) and [________________________] (“Developer”). University Lands and Developer are sometimes referred to herein individually as a “Party” and collectively as the “Parties”. By executing this Agreement, Developer agrees to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Agreement and the Directives (as defined in Article 19 below). Capitalized terms have the meanings ascribed to them in this Agreement.
