Provisional Bus Rider’s Safety ContractSeptember 14th, 2017
Lewisville Independent School District has determined that students that do not meet the two-mile eligibility requirements for bus service, but live within very close proximity of a designated bus stop, may request permission to ride on the bus if/when space is available. Provisional riders are not guaranteed a seat on the bus, but may ride if/when Transportation, in coordination with Campus Administration, has determined that there is sufficient space and the driver can safely transport students. Once a determination is made on campus, as all students must be granted permission to first ride the afternoon portion of a route, to ensure that Transportation and the Campus is in agreement that there is room on the bus, the student will be allowed to ride for the remainder of the year, so long as room remains available on the bus and the following rules are adhered to.
