Contract Type FiledJuly 13th, 2007The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration have entered into a new “Stewardship and Oversight Agreement” (Agreement) for the purpose of administering the Federal-aid Highway program in Pennsylvania, which will represent a time savings for the Department due to increased delegation. This Agreement supersedes the existing PennDOT/FHWA Stewardship and Oversight Agreement dated February 2002. This Agreement took effect on July 2, 2007 and will apply to all newly started Federal-aid projects and all existing Federal-aid projects under Design. Federal-aid projects under Construction will retain their current exemption classification through completion. The attached Agreement will replace Appendix A of Design Manual, Part 1A during the next official change to the publication.
