In response to the Cypress Point II (54 lots) need for fire protection, St. Johns County Utility Department staff has been working with their Homeowners Association (HOA) to extend water service from CR 206 to the community. As required by Section 5 of the St. Johns County Utility Ordinance 2022-37, staff prepared a template Utility Service Agreement (attached) that provides for each property owner in the project area to pay a proportional share of the cost of the line extension project. Execution of the agreement and payment of the proportional share will be a condition for all properties connecting to the project in the future in order for the County to recover the costs of the project over time. These costs will be paid in accordance with the Utility Service Agreement, Line Extension Project Payment Terms and Conditions (Exhibit "B").
