Introduction Although the USA is not a party to ACAP and whereas the primary albatross and petrel species that many USA efforts address are northern hemisphere species that are not currently in Annex 1 of ACAP, the USA has engaged in numerous activities that also contribute to the conservation of ACAP species. This report summarizes the USA’s seabird conservation efforts in 2007 and 2008. Work has been undertaken by government agencies and non-government entities (e.g. universities, fishing industry associations, and conservation groups).
