On August 26, 2008, Harris County District Attorney Kenneth Magidson presented a check in the amount of $45,592 to the Friendswood Police Department to fund nine new Panasonic model mobile computer terminals for police vehicles. These computer terminals will enable officers to utilize state of the art technology to access information directly at the point of need. In addition, the funds will also be used to purchase software that will enable the Police Department to conduct single-point booking for both municipal and county arrests.
