Contract Type FiledJanuary 15th, 2018The City of Rock Island and surrounding communities have an Intergovernmental Agreement for the Establishment of a Joint Administrative Hearing Officer System with the Bi-State Regional Commission. The purpose of this agreement is to establish the framework utilizing a joint administrative hearing officer system, known as the Municipal Code Enforcement System (MUNICES), to hear and resolve code enforcement issues. Each community shares in the cost of this system and fines received by MUNICES will be forwarded to the respective city.
