This Amendment No. 1 (this “Amendment”) is effective June 20, 2002 (“Amendment Effective Date”), by and between Verizon North Inc., formerly known as GTE North Incorporated (“Verizon”), and Level 3 Communications, LLC (“Level 3”). (Verizon and Level 3 may hereinafter be referred to, each individually, as a "Party," and, collectively, as the "Parties").
