As part of the 2020 County Road and Bridge Assumption Study Whalen Line from Highway 4 to Granton Line was assumed by Middlesex County from Lucan Biddulph. As this is a boundary road new agreements are required with the neighbouring municipalities, in this case the Municipality of South Huron and the County of Perth.
