Scientific publishers and authors share a common interest in the protection of copyright: authors because they want their creative works to be protected from plagiarism and other unlawful uses, and publishers because they need to protect their work and investment in the production, marketing and distribution of the article written by the author. In order to do so effectively, The Society of Ultrasound in Medicine, ROC (SUMROC) requires a formal written transfer of copyright from the author(s) for each article published. We therefore ask you to complete and return this form, retaining a copy for your records. Your cooperation is essential and ap- preciated. Any delay will result in a delay in publication.
