Contract Type FiledOctober 12th, 2011Decree Number 90-97 by the Congress of the Republic and its amendments contained in Decree Number 50- 2000 by the Congress of the Republic, Health Code, establishes that health promotion actions must be aimed at improving the level of health through the adoption of healthy lifestyles, with emphasis, among other measures, on preventing the use of substances which are damaging to health, particularly those which are addictive; and it contains provisions aimed at the participation of manufacturers, importers, marketers and advertisers in promoting programs to report on the risks of consuming substances damaging to health and especially the use of tobacco and the damage to health it entails.
