This Memorandum of Understanding is agreed upon by ILO/IPEC and CARE USA in relation to cooperation in the activities both partners pursue to raise awareness within society through children and the youth on issues of social justice, human rights, the social dimension of globalization and, in particular, on child labour, especially related to girls. Young people can be a driving force for change in society, provided they are given the space and support they need and deserve. Cooperation under this Memorandum aims at enhancing the meaningful participation of youth for self-empowerment by working through visual, literary, performing arts, and sports as a means to gain skills and confidence. Furthermore, it strives for harnessing their creativity and compassion to contribute to a more solidarity-conscious society.
