The main objective of PRECIOUS is to provide a preventive health care system that will improve the health of the user, and deliver cost savings in the public health sector. This document reports on activities carried out in PRECIOUS to understand the user requirements of the system and to deliver a set of usage scenarios, which will form the basis of the system design tasks. The end user must be central to the design of PRECIOUS and therefore, an early indication of user requirements is essential. The usage scenarios identified in this document will provide a starting point for system development; however further consultation with end users, as well as other key stakeholders, such as service and technology providers, will be important in delivering the project aims. This document also considers the selection criteria for study participants who will be recruited to efficacy studies in the latter stages of PRECIOUS.
