Presentation Council for Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) Agreement Presenter(s) Julie Murgel, Chief Operating Officer Position Title Office of Public Instruction Overview The Partnership Agreement is between three parties: the Montana Board of Public Education, the Montana State Superintendent of Public Education, and the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).CAEP is a nongovernment, voluntary association that is a nationally recognized accreditor by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). Through an Accreditation Council, CAEP accredits Educator Preparation Programs EPP). The purpose of this partnership agreement is to:• Outline preferences about program review options,• Review team compositions for accreditation site review conducted by CAEP of the Montana EPPs, and• Establish the responsibilities that each party has in supporting CAEP Accreditation activities for EPPS voluntarily requesting joint reviews.
