The parties agree that it is desirable to establish and maintain fair and equitable wage rates, working conditions and benefits, and to provide a method for the prompt settlement of grievances which may arise during the term of this agreement, and to this end have agreed to the specific provisions set forth herein, which shall supersede all previous agreements and arrangements between the Company, the employees covered hereby, and the Union, with respect to the matters referred to herein.
