The Convention between the Government of the Republic of the Philippines and the Government of Romania for the Avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Fiscal Evasion with Respect to Taxes on Income was signed in Bucharest, Romania on May 18, 1994. It entered into force on November 27, 1997, upon the exchange of the relevant instruments of ratification in Manila on that date. Its provisions on taxes apply on income derived or which accrued beginning January 1, 1998.
