Standard contract is usually made by a company to collaborate with others, and to interest in working together, the companies cooperate in determining the terms unilaterally. This paper, entitled the freedom of contract in the standard contract. The problem is about the validity of the principle of freedom of contract in the standard contract. The method used is the method of normative research. Standard agreement as a treaty in force in Indonesia should contain principles, one of which is the principle of freedom of contract as provided in article 1330 and 1338 of the Civil Law Act which describes the basis of freedom of contract.
