The Community Learning Agreement (CLA) is an articulation of the learning goals set by the student in collaboration with their institutional representative and in conversation with their agency supervisor. Additionally, it outlines the projects offered by the agency and identifies tools and clearances needed to engage in that work. The learning goals should reflect the personal interests and skills of the student and align with the SHECP Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs)—Knowledge, Engagement, and Responsibility. The CLA covers the period of the 2020 SHECP Internship—Monday, June 7 – Thursday, July 29, 2021—and should be regularly reviewed and revised by the intern, in collaboration with related parties, as the nature of work and learning evolves over the 8 weeks of the internship.
