Political Agreement on Nurses Qualifications By Dorota Kilanska (Polish Nurses Association) 26 November 2012 In November, the Polish nurses were shocked when they learnt that Polish MEPs voted in the ENVI Committee against the unification of the nursing education system in the European Union and the freedom of movement of this professional group. Two-speed Europe D. Kilańska sent a letter to J. Hibner - in that letter she said, among other things: "We are very sorry that you decided not to ask about the position of the nurses in Poland, the largest professional group of health care professionals ..." "There are 6 million nurses that have decided that they do not want a two-speed Europe in nursing, I want future generations to ensure a good start in the modern profession fit for purpose to a changing environment..." – it reads the letter.
