WHEREAS, on August 19, 2011, pursuant to that certain Intergovernmental Agreement for the Establishment and Operation of the Loveland Fire Rescue Authority as a Separate Governmental Entity ("Formation Agreement"), the City of Loveland ("City") and the Loveland Rural Fire Protection District ("District") created the Loveland Fire Rescue Authority ("Authority"), a public entity of the State of Colorado, for the purpose of providing fire suppression, fire prevention and public education, rescue, extrication, hazardous materials and emergency medical services (collectively, "Emergency Services") within their joint jurisdiction and service area. The Formation Agreement subsequently was amended pursuant to the First, Second, and Third Amendments to the Intergovernmental Agreement for the Establishment and Operation of the Loveland Fire Rescue Authority as a Separate Governmental Entity.
