STEM is a hands-on laboratory class. However, STEM activities may have potential hazards. Students will participate in some activities that require the use of hazardous chemicals and/or potentially dangerous equipment. Safety in the science classroom is the #1 priority for students, teachers, and parents. To ensure a safe classroom, a list of rules has been developed and is called the STEM Parent/Guardian & Student Safety Contract. These rules must be followed at all times. Additional safety instructions will be given for each activity. We ask that you read through the rules carefully and sign a contract agreeing to abide by these rules in order to safely participate in our curriculum. No STEM student will be allowed to participate in science activities until this contract has been signed by both the student and a parent or guardian.
