The Adoptive Family has the right to consult with an attorney before they sign the Agreement. The Adoptive Family must sign and receive a copy of this Agreement. An application must be submitted and receive final approval before finalization of the adoption to comply with Federal mandates (except in the case of a post-finalization application).
