FiledMay 9th, 2021On August 13th, 2020, the Abraham Accords was signed as an agreement towards Middle East peace through the normalization of relations between Israel, UAE, and Bahrain, facilitated by the United States. The first of such agreements since the peace treaties with Egypt in 1979 and Jordan in 1994. Viewed by some regional powers as a unique paradigm shift while others saw the accords as a betrayal of the Palestinian cause and Islamic values.
