Lindsford Traffic Enforcement Agreement: UpdateTraffic Enforcement Agreement • May 7th, 2021
Contract Type FiledMay 7th, 2021On February 1, 2021, the Fort Myers City Council approved the Traffic Enforcement Agreement (TEA) between the Lindsford Master Association and the Fort Myers Police Department (FMPD). The TEA allows FMPD to enforce all applicable City traffic ordinances within the entire Lindsford community, although the streets remain the private property of the Lindsford Master Association. In recent weeks, you may have noticed a greater presence of FMPD within the neighborhoods. FMPD has been focused on educating drivers regarding moving violations such as speeding and running stop signs. The education phase has been completed, and FMPD has begun writing tickets for these violations of City traffic ordinances. FMPD is now starting to address parking concerns within the Lindsford community.
