This Agreement (“Agreement”) is effective as of June 11, 2001 (the “Effective Date”), between Business Telecom, Inc. (BTI), a corporation organized under the laws of the State of North Carolina, with offices at 4300 Six Forks Rd, Raleigh, NC 27609 and Verizon South Inc., f/k/a GTE South Incorporated (“Verizon”), a corporation organized under the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia with offices at 4100 Roxboro Rd., Durham, NC 27704. Verizon and BTI may each sometimes be referred to as "Party" or "other Party", and jointly as "the Parties" in this Agreement.
