Energy – Canada and California (the US) is currently in an energy crisis and energy must be con served in the host home. Gas and electr icity are very expensive. Portable heaters and electric blankets are not permitted in the host home. Students should be prepared to help conserve energy by turning off lights and computers when not in use.
