The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) has prepared and adopted plans to construct a Roundabout at the intersection of Hope Valley Road and University Drive under Project U-5745. See Attachment B for a map of the project. The project will require the relocation of existing City of Durham sanitary sewer and water utilities that are within the project boundaries and that are the City’s financial responsibility for the cost of relocation. The relocation work will be performed by the contractor for NCDOT. The City will reimburse NCDOT for the cost of the utility relocation work. The cost responsibilities for this work are defined in the Utility Construction Agreement (Attachment A).
