In 2019, the UWW delegated to the International Testing Agency (ITA) the management of its anti-doping program. Some aspects of this program had not been included in this agreement from the beginning and it has recently been decided to also entrust the ITA with the management of those remaining aspects, namely the Therapeutic Use Exemptions, Education and Long-term storage (up to 10 years) of samples.
