FiledJanuary 18th, 2002Establishing the Free Trade Area Between the Caribbean Community and the Dominican Republic was signed. The two parties (CARICOM and the Dominican Republic) came together to establish closer economic integration and to develop a more significant joint presence in trade negotiations. Several meetings have since taken place to finalise details of the agreement and a draft protocol on implementation was agreed upon by both parties in middle of 2000.
