This document describes the specification and standards pertaining to the local enhanced service for the acceptance by community pharmacies of filled sharps containers from patients and the supply of replacement containers where required. This document does not constitute a Service Level Agreement (SLA) although the provisions within the document may be contained within any SLA between a Local Health Board and pharmacy contractor for the provision of the service.
