The City Council approved Norwalk Transit System (NTS) to enter into a multi-agency joint procurement with Metro Regional Transit Authority (METRO), Akron, OH in order to facilitate the purchase of four (4) Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses from Gillig LLC to replace vehicles that have reached or exceeded their useful life. This joint procurement allows each participating agency to assume or purchase optional buses that another agency elected not to purchase.
