The system operates on low-grade (crude) bioethanol, and could be used for wireless communication systems, also in developing countries. The Reformed Ethanol Fuel Cell System (REFCS) consisted of four units: the fuel cell system, Pressure Swing Absorption -unit (PSA unit), fuel processor (reformer) and complete system integration.
