Following negotiations throughout 2020, on 24 December 2020 the Trade and Cooperation Agreement between the EU and Euratom, on the one part, and the United Kingdom, on the other part, (the “TCA”) and an Agreement between the United Kingdom and Euratom for Cooperation on the Safe and the Peaceful Uses of Nuclear Energy (the “Euratom Agreement”) were agreed at the negotiators’ level. Both agreements were then signed on 30 December 2020 and published in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJ) on 31 December 2020.1
