This Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is entered into this 22nd day of _October, 2004, by and between the following four entities, together known as “the Parties”: 1) the Honduras Institute of Tourism (“IHT”) is a permanent, public Honduran entity with administrative and financial autonomy organized and existing under the laws of Honduras to stimulate and promote tourism as an economic activity that fosters the country’s development via the conservation, protection and sustainable use of national tourism resources; 2) Counterpart International (“CPI”), a section 501(c)(3) public charity organized and existing under the laws of the District of Columbia; 3) The National Geographic Society (“NGS”) a not-for-profit organization organized and existing under the laws of the District of Columbia; and 4) The George Washington University, a federally chartered non-profit institution, through its International Institute of Tourism Studies, located at 600 21st Street, NW, Washington, DC 20052 (“
