Overview: Using AHRQs program, HQI’s TeamSTEPPSTM Master Trainer will facilitate a six-month Collaborative with didactic, video, interactive and peer presentations to enhance the culture for patient safety in participating hospitals, reduce medical errors, and improve interdisciplinary relationships in the workplace. The emphasis will be on application of selected tools and strategies to current quality improvement efforts. Participating hospitals will designate 4 individuals as their Core Team members who will be trained to implement TeamSTEPPSTM within their facilities. The entire Core Team should attend all Collaborative Events, but substitution of another staff member is encouraged when it would be beneficial to the hospital’s goals.
